Public Hearing on FY 2010 Budget Scheduled for December 10

The Boone County Commission will hold a public hearing on the County's proposed fiscal year 2010 budget. The County Commission conducted numerous budget work sessions in September and October which led to the development of the proposed budget. State law requires the County Commission to hold at least one public hearing on the proposed budget before taking final action. The proposed budget can be altered and revised by the County Commission prior to adoption as they see fit. The statutory deadline for adoption is January 10, 2010. The County Commission has set a target adoption deadline of mid-to-late December.
The hearing will be held Thursday, December 10 at 1:30 p.m. in the Commission Chambers of the Boone County Roger B. Wilson Government Center, 801 E. Walnut, Columbia.
